ALGARNE, Algeria — Algeria’s state-run Al Arabiya TV reported Sunday that more than 1 and a half million people have been displaced as a result of the recent bombing in the east.
Algeria’s Interior Ministry said in a statement that a group of militants detonated a bomb in the eastern town of Gama, killing more than one dozen people, including women and children.
Algiers is a major transit point for goods from Algeria’s northern neighbor Libya.
The Algerian government has blamed Libya for the attack.
The U.N. has said that at least one of the bombs in Gama was made in Libya.
